Le Clos Des Jarres

Presentation

Le Clos des Jarres was created in 2010 by Vivien Hemelsdael in the communes of Laure Minervois and Caunes Minervois, at the foot of the Montagne Noire in Aude.

The Estate now extends over 25 hectares managed in Organic Agriculture (certified by Ecocert) and Biodynamics (certified by Deméter).

The experience

It was after obtaining his BTS Viticulture and Oenology in Alsace that, for Vivien, a real passion for wine was born and more particularly organic and biodynamic wines, discovered in particular during his internships.

Different experiences then follow, all equally enriching; in New Zealand, in Châteauneuf du Pape and Madiran.

At the end of 2008, he finally decided to return to Minervois to try his hand at producing organic and natural wines with his own vines!

Vivien thus cultivates his vines and accompanies his wines with the greatest respect for his terroirs and plants to give birth to complex wines full of life.

A place to share

Since the summer of 2023, Le Clos des Jarres has also become a place for sharing and offers Food and Wine Pairing Tasting Dinners on the estate, in an old shed renovated and converted into a reception cellar.

It is therefore in an authentic and intimate setting that Vivien and Valérie Egea, his partner and Head Caterer (Bouchons et Marmiton) , now offer you every weekend the opportunity to come and taste their wines in a different way.
